Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un elemento optico (100) formado por co-extrusion para tener un arreglo de fibras difusoras polimericas (104) dentro de una matriz polimerica (102). Las fibras difusoras se situan sustancialmente paralelas a un primer eje. Las fibras difusoras se arreglan en posiciones a traves de la seccion transversal de la matriz polimerica para difundir la luz transversalmente incidente sobre el elemento optico en una direccion sustancialmente ortogonal al primer eje. Las posiciones de las fibras difusoras a traves de la seccion transversal del elemento optico pueden ser seleccionadas para formar una estructura de cristal fotonico de dos dimensiones para la luz transversalmente incidente en el elemento optico.
