Abstract
Se producen poliuretanos reforzados con fibra, con densidades no mayores que 0,9 g/cc, que son apropiados para su uso como componentes de automoción, a partir de una mezcla de reacción para formar poliuretanos en la que hay disuelto dióxido de carbono en uno o ambos componentes de la reacción. La cantidad de dióxido de carbono disuelto es de 0,2 a 2,0 g/l. el componente que reacciona con isocianato es un poliol que tiene una funcionalidad de 3 a 8, y un índice de hidroxilo de al menos 600. Se puede utilizar cualquier material fibroso, pero se prefiere especialmente la fibra de vidrio, en particular fibras de vidrio con longitudes dentro del intervalo de 12,5 a 100 mm.
