Abstract

La presente invencion proporciona metodos para la administracion mejorada de varios agentes terapeuticos, tales como agentes para la terapia genica, a la vasculatura de un organo diana en un sujeto mamifero. Se revelan metodos para la terapia de genes diana en el higado de mamifero, en su totalidad o en un solo lobulo hepatico. Los metodos revelados tratan sobre procedimientos basados en cateter minimamente invasores, en donde un organo diana es aislado y tratado localmente con un agente para la terapia genica. Los metodos ofrecen la transfeccion mas eficiente y localizada de tejido, y son adecuados para la terapia genica en sujetos humanos.
