Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un aparato para supervisar la integridad de tuberias que comprende una barra de respaldo magneticamente permeable .y al menos tres imanes que comprenden un iman de intensidad relativamente intermedia colocado en un extremo de la barra de respaldo, un iman de intensidad relativamente baja colocado en el otro extremo de la barra de respaldo y un iman de intensidad relativamente alta colocado entre el iman de intensidad intermedia y el iman de baja intensidad. Al menos estos tres imanes estan adaptados y colocados para inducir una pluralidad de campos resultantes dentro de la pared de la tuberia que comprende un primer campo resultante adecuado para detectar una anomalia relacionada con metal reducido y un segundo campo resultante adecuado para detectar una anomalia relacionada con un trabajo mecanico. Preferiblemente, el primer campo resultante tiene una intensidad mayor que 120 Oersted y el segundo campo resultante tiene una intensidad entre 40 y 80 Oersted.
