Abstract

Un sistema de enfriamiento de aire de carga con fumigacion de agua para un motor de combustion interna que incluye un enfriador de aire de carga que tiene una caja, un nucleo intercambiador de calor, y una entrada de aire y una salida de aire. La entrada de enfriador de aire de carga esta conectada a una salida de una fuente de aire comprimida, tal como un turbocargador a traves de un cabecero de toma de enfriador. La salida de enfriador de aire de carga esta conectada a traves de un cabecero de salida de enfriador a las lumbreras de toma de cilindro del motor. El cabecero de toma de enfriador esta adaptado para recibir agua en un conducto debajo de la entrada de enfriador. El aire de carga comprimido caliente que entra en el enfriador de aire de carga a traves del cabecero de toma se mezcla con vapor de agua formado en el cabecero, humedeciendo por tanto el aire de carga que entra en los cilindros desde el enfriador de aire de carga. La capacidad de absorcion de energia alta de la molecula de agua reduce la temperatura de combustion pico, reduciendo por tanto la produccion de NO, en la reaccion de combustion.
