Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento que comprende usar, para fines de amortiguamiento, un polímero elastomérico termoplástico, de múltiples fases, que tiene al menos dos fases poliméricas, el cual comprende: a) una fase polimérica, inicialmente lineal o levemente entrelzada, polimerizada a partir de un monómero alfa,beta-etilénicamente insaturado, en que este monómero alfa, beta-etilénicamente insaturado comprende de 0 a aproximadamente el dos por ciento en peso de un monómero multietilénicamente insaturado; b) una segunda fase polimérica, en la forma de dominios discretos de aproximadamente 2 a 50 nanómetros de diámetro, dispersos dentro de la fase polimérica inicial, en que la segunda fase polime´rica se polimeriza a partir de al menos un monómero etilénicamente insaturado, comprendido de alrededor del 5 por ciento al 100 por ciento en peso de un monómero multifuncional, que tiene al menos dos sitios de insaturación etilénica; donde la relación en peso de la segunda fase polime´rica a la fase polimérica inicial más la segunda fase polimérica es de aproximadamente 1:100 hasta aproximadamente 1:2. Una composición para fines de amortiguamiento útiles, que comprende: a) un elastómero entrelazado, que contiene segmentos discretos microscópicamente de b) un polímero elastomérico termoplástico, de múltiples fases, que tiene al menos dos fases poliméricas, que comprenden: i) una fase polimérica inicialmente lineal o levemente entrelazada, polimerizada a partir de un monómero alfa,beta-etilénicamente insaturado, en que este monómero alfa,beta-etilénicamente insaturado comprende de 0 a aproximadamente el dos por ciento en peso de un monómero multietilénicamente insaturado; ii) una segunda fase polimérica, en la forma de dominios discretos con diámetros de aproximadamente 2 a 50 nanómetros, dispersos dentro de la fase polimérica inicial, en que la segunda fase polimérica se polimeriza desde al menos un monómero etilénicamente insaturado, comprendido de aproximadamente el 5 al 100 por ciento en peso de monómeros multifuncionales, que tienen al menos dos sitios de insaturación, etilénica; en que la relación en peso de la segunda fase polimérica la fase polimérica inicial más la segunda fase polimérica es aproximadamente de 1:100 hasta aproximadamente 1:2.
