Abstract

The invention relates to devices for sealing containers, particularly to covers for jars, intended for foodstuff storage.The plastic cover for jar, according to the invention, consists of the first part (1), covering the mouth of the jar, and the second part (2), embracing the mouth of the jar. In the first part (1) are made one or more through holes (3), and on the inside of the second part (2) is made an annular groove (4), in which is installed a ring-shaped gasket (5) of elastic material, fixing an air-penetrable gasket (6), placed on the inside of the first part (1), at the same time all elements of the cover are made of materials approved for foodstuff contact.
