Abstract

The invention relates to the field of mining, particularly medium-depth deposits (20 to 100 metres). The invention is a new mining method based on the opening of narrow mining trenches at depths that allow access to all the ore layers. Inspired by the Open Pit and High Wall methods, improved by the digitisation aspect on the high-performance tool used in the Long Wall method, and with the creation of a platform that translates along the open trench that receives the ore and lifts it to the surface, this method enables the ore layers to be directly attacked without the removal and disposal of overburden or interlayers. Without the use of explosives, with its tailor-made mining panels, equipment using only electrical energy and with remote control (control room on the surface platform), this mining method responds to the environmental issues and constraints of conventional mining methods.
