Abstract
La présente invention concerne un système d’expression de gène qui confère la létalité homozygote, spécifique au sexe chez les arthropodes, particulièrement les insectes tephritidés, tels que ceratitis capitata. Les souches d’arthropode produisent des mâles qui sont également modifiés pour être stériles. Les animaux stériles peuvent être lâchés pour s’accoupler à une femelle sauvage afin de supprimer la propagation de la population d’arthropodes.
