Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à une machine permettant de recouvrir des couvertures de livre et de sceller des enveloppes ou des articles de divers types. La machine comprend une base inférieure fixe (1) adaptée pour supporter une feuille constituée d'un matériau plastique flexible, qui est unique ou qui peut être déroulée à partir d'un rouleau, pour un article qui doit être recouvert, une partie supérieure (3) mobile vers ladite base (1) et une lame chauffante (7) reçue dans ladite partie supérieure (3) pour exécuter la soudure des extrémités mises en chevauchement de la feuille en matériau plastique le long des bords dudit article lorsque ladite partie supérieure (3) s'approche de ladite base inférieure (1). Pour rapprocher la partie supérieure (3) de la base inférieure (1), la machine comprend un moteur électrique (9), un élément de commande (20) accessible depuis l'extérieur de la machine pour faire fonctionner ledit moteur électrique (9) ainsi que des moyens de transmission de mouvement (21 à 26) qui agissent sur les côtés (11) de ladite partie supérieure (3) pour provoquer, à chaque activation dudit moteur électrique (9) déterminée par ledit élément de commande (20), un mouvement de rapprochement de ladite partie supérieure (3) vers ladite base inférieure (1) pour exécuter la soudure des extrémités de la feuille en matériau plastique.
