McNamara Blast Roanoke City Council for Flock Camera Snafus (theroanokestar.com) — Two state lawmakers who represent Salem and Roanoke are sharply criticizing Roanoke City’s use of Flock Safety surveillance devices, calling the unapproved placements a serious privacy and constitutional concern. They urge local governments to rethink mass surveillance and instead emphasize targeted policing that protects both safety and civil liberties.
