• Historic Rockwood Manor sees change in ownership (pcpatriot.com) — Rockwood Manor in Dublin has just changed hands, with longtime owners Frank and Rochelle Drummond selling the 150-year-old bed-and-breakfast to Stephen and Leona Thomas. The new owners plan to keep Rockwood’s historic charm while expanding weddings and community events like festivals and holiday pageants. Longtime staff are staying on, and the Thomases say they want to be careful stewards of this New River Valley landmark.
• Pulaski County's ‘Vacancy to Vitality' program wins statewide award for repurposing old schools (wsls.com) — Pulaski County’s award-winning “Vacancy to Vitality” program is about to repurpose the former Dublin High School into new housing while preserving its auditorium and gym. County leaders say turning old schools into apartments, senior living, and businesses keeps memories alive and parking lots full. The statewide VACO award recognizes this approach as a model for other Virginia localities.
