Es ist Winter! / It is winter!

Und ich genieße es!!!

Ich liebe die Kälte, den Schnee ... und wenn man dann nach Hause kommt,

macht man es sich mit einer Tasse Tee, einer Kerze, einer Decke ... so richtig gemütlich.

And I love it!!!

I love the cold, the snow... and when you get home,

you make yourself really cozy with a cup of tea, a candle, a blanket ...

Beides (die Kälte und die Gemütlichkiet) habe ich versucht, auf meiner Karte zu kombinieren.

Auf einen blauen Kartenrohling habe ich einen breiten Streifen Designpapier geklebt

und anschließnd mit weißem Gesso viele Spritzer darauf gemacht.

Den Stuhl mit dem Kissen und dem Teddy habe ich als fertiges Stanzelement bei ebay gekauft.

Dieses ergänzte ich mit Motiven aus einer französischen Bastelzeitschrift.

I tried to combine both the cold and the coziness on my card.

I glued a wide strip of patterned paper onto a blue card base

and then added lots of splatters of white gesso.

I bought the chair with the cushion and the teddy bear as a ready-made die-cut on eBay.

I then added motifs from a French craft magazine.

Es soll tatsächlich Menschen geben / There are actually people out there

... die den Film "Tatsächlich Liebe" nicht kennen.

Dabei gehört er doch inzwischen zu den Weihnachtsklassikern.

Das Thema Liebe ist aber ganzjährig aktuell!!

... who don't know the movie "Love Actually".

Yet it's become a Christmas classic.

But the theme of love is relevant all year round!

Und mit viel Liebe startet die Traumfabrik ins neue Jahr.

And with much love, the Dream Factory starts the new year.

Liebe, Herzen und/oder den Valentinstag

Love, Hearts, and/or Valentine's Day

Mit einer Ausstechform für Plätzchen kann man auch hervorragend stempeln.

Dafür habe ich zuerst einen schmalen Streifen abgeklebt.

Dann habe ich die Rückseite der Ausstechform mit Aquarellfarben bestrichen

und auf das Aquarellpapier gedrückt.

Anschließend habe ich einen feuchten Pinsel genommen und die Aquarellfarbe nach innen verwischt.

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich die Ausstechform mit Mica Gloss in gold bestrichen

und ebenfalls auf dem Papier abgedrückt (beim mittleren Herzen ist es am Besten zu sehen).

Nach einer weiteren Trocknungszeit habe ich noch Spritzer mit den Aquarellfarben

und Mica Gloss gold gemacht.

Den Text habe ich frei Hand geschrieben.

A cookie cutter is also excellent for stamping.

First, I masked off a narrow strip.

Then I coated the back of the cookie cutter with watercolors and pressed it onto the watercolor paper. Next, I took a damp brush and blended the watercolor paint inwards.

After it dried, I coated the cookie cutter with gold mica gloss

and pressed it onto the paper (it's most visible on the middle heart).

After another drying period, I added splatters of watercolors and gold mica gloss.

I wrote the text freehand.

Keine Sorge!! / No worries!!

Ich bin nicht in den Schneemassen untergegangen.

Ganz im Gegenteil, wir haben einen fantastischen Winterurlaub an der Nordsee verbracht!

I didn't get buried in the snow.

Quite the opposite, we had a fantastic winter holiday on the North Sea coast!

Wir waren mit unserem Wohnwagen unterwegs.

Im Wohnwagen ist es kuschelig warm und gemütlich.

We were traveling with our caravan.

It's nice and warm and cozy inside the caravan.

Aber viel lieber waren wir im Schnee unterwegs.

But we much preferred being out in the snow.

Auch unsere Felljungs hatten viel Spaß im Schnee.

Our furry boys also had a lot of fun in the snow.

Der Campingplatz hat einen großen Agilityplatz.

Dort konnten die Hunde ausgiebig herum toben.

The campsite has a large agility course.

The dogs could romp around there to their hearts' content.

Auch Sturmtief "Elli" haben wir gut überstanden.

We also weathered storm "Elli" well.

Leider war der Urlaub viel zu schnell zu Ende.

Doch die Erinnerungen an eine wunderschöne und zauberhafte Winterlandschaft werden bleiben.

Unfortunately, the vacation ended far too quickly.

But the memories of a beautiful and magical winter landscape will remain.

Die Christrosen / Christmas roses

... sind meine Winterlieblinge!!!

... are my winter favorites!!!

Und jetzt habe ich sie auch einmal auf einer Karte verewigt.

Dazu habe ich die Stempel von Sheena Douglass verwendet.

Das Gute ist, es ist kein einziger Stempel, sondern man kann die Blüten und Bätter

ganz individuell zusammen stellen. Ich habe auf einen grauen Kartenrohling die Blüten

und Blätter mit weißer Stempelfarbe gestempelt und dann mit Polychromos coloriert.

Anschließend habe ich alles maskiert und den Hintergrund mit einer Schablone

und Distress Oxides gestaltet. Mit weißem Gesso habe ich noch feinen Schneefall angedeutet.

Ich habe mich entschieden, vorerst keinen Text hinzuzufügen,

da die Karte sowohl für Weihnachten als auch für einen Wintergeburtstag geeignet ist.

And now I've immortalized them on a card.

I used Sheena Douglass' stamps for this.

The great thing is, it's not just one stamp; you can arrange the flowers and leaves individually.

I stamped the flowers and leaves onto a gray card base with white ink

and then colored them with Polychromos colored pencils.

Afterward, I masked everything and created the background using the stencil

and Distress Oxides. I added a touch of fine snowfall with white gesso.

I decided against adding any text for now, as the card is suitable for Christmas,

but also for a winter birthday.

Jedes Jahr gehören die Christrosen auch zu meiner Weihnachts- Winterdekoration draußen.

Every year, Christmas roses are also part of my Christmas/winter decorations outdoors.

Im Frühjahr pflanze ich sie dann in die Beete.

In spring I plant them in the flower beds.

Anything Christmassy Goes

Das süße Motiv colorierte ich mit Alkoholstiften.

Damit der Zuckerguss auf dem Kuchen richtig schön glänzt,

habe ich noch Glossy Accents darauf gegeben (leider auf dem Foto schlecht sichtbar).

Den oberen Berich prägte ich mit kleinen Schneeflocken

und stempelte den Text (beides Creative Depot).

I colored the cute design with alcohol pens.

To make the icing on the cake really shine, I added Glossy Accents

(unfortunately, they're hard to see in the photo).

I embossed the top with small snowflakes and stamped the text (both from Creative Depot).

Bei der diesjährigen Weihnachtskartenproduktion blieben auch einige Reste übrig.

Warum nicht gleich noch eine Karte daraus basteln?

This year's Christmas card production left some scraps.
Why not make another card with them?

Und so sieht die fertige Karte aus.

And this is what the finished card looks like.

Ein Stück weißen Karton prägte ich mit dem Schneeflockenhintergrund.

Aus dem Designpapier schnitt ich den Schneemann aus und gestaltete aus allen Elementen

eine kleine Winterszene. Den Tannen gab ich mit einem weißen Gelstift

noch etwas Schnee auf die Zweige.

I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the snowflake background.
I cut out the snowman from the patterned paper and arranged all the elements
into a small winter scene. I added some snow to the fir tree branches with a white gel pen.

Auch dieses Jahr bekommt die Züchterin von Kaito und Kamo eine Karte von mir.

This year, Kaito and Kamo's breeder will also receive a card from me.

Den Hund habe ich als fertiges Stanzmotiv bei ebay gekauft.

Ich habe ihn dann nur noch ein wenig farblich bearbeitet.

Dazu stanzte ich das Textelement (Creative Depot) farblich passend aus

und klebte alles mit Schaumstoffpads auf die Karte.

Das Designpapier im Hintergrund ist von itdCollection.

I bought the dog as a pre-cut die-cut shape on eBay.

Then I just added a little color.

and adhered everything to the card with foam pads.

Kaito legt sich eigentlich nicht in das Kuschelbett, es ist ihm viel zu warm.

Aber hier hat er mal eine Ausnahme gemacht,

hat es aber nur wenige Minuten darin ausgehalten.

A rare photo indeed. Kaito doesn't usually lie in the cuddly bed;

it's much too warm for him.

But he made an exception here, though he only lasted a few minutes.

Weihnachtssterne / Poinsettias

... dürfen in der Weihnachtszeit nicht fehlen.

... are essential during the Christmas season.

Für mich müssen sie nicht immer rot sein, auch in weiß und hellem grün finde ich sie sehr schön.

Meine Weihnachtssterne auf der Karte habe ich aus Aquarellpapier ausgestanzt

und mit Aquarellfarben coloriert.

Für den Hintergrund prägte ich das Papier.

Zum Schluss fügte ich den geprägten Text (Creative Depot) hinzu.

For me, they don't always have to be red; I also find them very beautiful in white and light green.

I die-cut my poinsettias on the card from watercolor paper and colored them with watercolors.

I embossed the paper for the background.

Finally, I added the embossed text (Creative Depot).

jetzt müssen sie nur noch auf die Reise geschickt werden.

Auch diese Karte wird dem Empfänger hoffentlich eine kleine Freude bereiten.

Hopefully, this card will also bring a little joy to the recipient.

Auf einem grauen, leicht glänzenden Papier stempelte ich kleine Schneeflocken und machte mikt einem weißen Gelstift kleine Punkte.

Aus weißem Karton stanzte ich die Schneeflocken und Kugeln (Lora Bailora).

Die Kugeln bestempelte ich ebenfalls mit kleinen Schneeflocken.

Auf einer Kugel platzierte ich den Text und auf der anderen die süßen Tiere

(aus einem Designpapier von Creative Depot).

On a gray, slightly glossy piece of paper, I stamped small snowflakes

and added tiny dots with a white gel pen.

I punched out the snowflakes and baubles from white cardstock (Lora Bailora).

I also stamped the baubles with small snowflakes.

I placed the text on one bauble and the cute animals

(cut from a designer paper by Creative Depot) on the other.

November Enthüllung bei CCC / November CCC Reveal

Es ist wieder Zeit für die Enthüllung bei der Card Chain Challenge.

It's reveal time again in the Card Chain Challenge.

Diesen Monat ging meine Karte zu Imke in Deutschland.

This month my card went to Imke in Germany.

Dieses mal wählte ich die Umsetzung des Sketches.

This time I chose to implement the sketch.

Den Hintergrund gestaltete ich mit einer Schneeflockenschablone und Distress Oxides.

Die süßen Leckereien sind aus einem Stempelset von Newton's Nook Design.

Diese stempelte ich auf ein separates Stück Papier, colorierte mit Alkoholstiften,

schnitt sie aus und klebte sie mit Schaumstoffpads auf meine Karte.

I created the background using a snowflake stencil and Distress Oxides.
The sweet treats are from a stamp set by Newton's Nook Design.
I stamped them onto a separate piece of paper, colored them with alcohol markers,
cut them out, and adhered them to my card with foam pads.
The sentiment means: 'Anticipation is the greatest joy.'
