Good morning bloggers. It is 8:30am and I am laid up in bed with my laptop, coffee and Misty. Thinking, cause it looks like, and feels like we had rain last night. Slow moving day! Anyway, I wanted to address  some comments left on post. First one if from Jeanie over at  https://themarmeladegypsy.blogspot.com/ she is referring to my paint samples that are behind Misty and above her head. She says ~ I have done exactly the same thing with  painting samples -- leaving them there,  almost indefinitely. Makes me feel like  I'm doing something without having to  commit! Thinking is important! I have to say, love the thinking outside the box with it looking like you are doing something! Great idea. At what point do you think it starts to look sad though? haha Oh and Darla over at  https://darlamsands.blogspot.com said this~ PS Your precious mom was right, I dare say. She is referring to the fact that mom used to tell me that I  got in line for all the b...

Temps in Nunnelly, The Girls and Fever

Image
Morning! I have noticed when I start to post a blog piece, that I have very litte pics to apply to my post... I need to get out more,  again, waiting on the ump  to return and then with fingers crossed and concentraction of  good vibes....I will make it... sooner than later I hope. When checking the temp and weather, I know things change in the block of the eye. With that, earlier in the week they were saying the  "S" word, and no I don't  mean sandwich! ha. SNOW!! Now that has changed but the weather folks tell  is that it could bounce back to snow, or stay  at no snow. I want snow! The girls could care less on that snow.  Said that SNOW made no different! They will not be going out. Ha, looking back at the pic above, I laughed! Its hard to  explain coming from me cause its hard for me to still get  my head around somethings... Like the painting samples attached to the wall above Misty's head. They have been there for over a year! I mad...

Bath Time, Railroad Nails, Ear Color and Gray Fluff

Image
Mom, stop looking at me, I am  taking my bath! A week ago last Sat. Amber and I  went to an indoor flea market.  I did not see anything I needed but some of what I saw I  might want, was more than  I wanted to pay. I did see these cool looking nails. The box they were in said they were railroad nails. I have seen  railroad nails that are large but never these. I picked up two, one for  each brother. The man that was selling had stepped out and his friend had  no clue what the number on top meant. I looked it up when I got  home. That number means that  that is the year they were used on the track. 1935 and  1927. Now, that is really cool.    I just think things like this is so neat , that all this time, I am just now learning  about these antique nails. I have to admit, when I go to  an antique store and  see some of the things I see, it amazes me that its still  around.  As I wtite this, it is Tue...

Socks, Test, Bagels, Non Drooling and Adorable Face

Not sure where all of you are located, I have a good thought on it but not sure, so with that not sure what the temps have been like where you are. Liz, pretty sure yours has not  been cold. Thinking you have been having a lot of rain out that way. I heard today where for  the first time in 25 years,  you are out of a drought. AWESOME. Darla and Ann, I know you  are up some where above my  head, on a flat map that is, haha, and prob dealing with cold and snow. However, here in TN, we had a couple of cold days, but mostly we been hitting  the 60s and up. So, if I can get away with  no socks I will.  Last couple of days, its been cool enough that I have  worn my socks. And....my personality  seems to come out in my  socks. Fridays socks were a tad  colorful. Saturday, I wore  my leporad pattern ones, or at least one pair of them. Sat. which is today, the temps sort of dropped through out the  day. Tomorrow, probably wil...

Seven Years Today

Image
Still trying to wrap my head around  the fact that today makes seven years since she left us? And still as recent as just before Christmas, I walked from the kitchen to the living room when the thought mom hit me, then right on the tail end of that, it hit me that I couldn't.  Recently I became aware of  the pic above that Amber took in the hospital.  This is the last pic of mom and I had together.  Guessing she was just as unaware as I was that it  was taken. Mom was worse than me, HATED having her pic taken, and she is probably pissed to no ends that her pic ever made it to FB or my blog.  She hated FB. But, that was my mom,  hating things she knew  nothing about. I wonder if I was talking to you  or just looking at you, but I can hear your  thoughts now, "get out of my face"!! lol   Anyway,  Mom, I miss you each and  everyday of my life. I know you know when things happen in our lives. I know you know that DJ is no...

Baby Cake Pics, Metal Art, and A Shock,

Image
I did a phone dump so I thought I would share some of the pics  I had on there.. Being a photographer I learned this shot when I was doing weddings where family members wanted pics also, so I learned to shoot either around them  or using them as a prop. You find ways to get your shot,  a cute shot when a family member is up in the way!! I know I shared this pic of Beckham  on his first bday. Love that smile and those  laughing eyes. A thought hit me,  luckily in the head so it did not  hurt me...lol Okay, my thoughts was,  a framed pic of Beckham on his  bday, the one above for sure and one of his sister on her first bday. I did not attend Evies first bday, it was the yr of COVID so I stayed home, but  I looked through Amber's pic and found  the above.  A frame that encorpates a space side  by side for two pics!! In a year, I will probably need to  redo it by adding the 6th GREAT grand child on his first bday, he is d...
