Featured in Science: How NAIRR Resources are Helping Researchers Tackle the Copyright Challenge
April 28, 2026
When large language models memorize their training data — reproducing copyrighted text or personal information verbatim — it's a serious problem for AI developers and society alike. A team from the University of Southern California and the Max Planck Institute built an open-source tool called Hubble to study how and why this happens, and the NAIRR Pilot made it possible.
