For most tasks: Mistral Large (best overall performance). For coding: Mistral Medium 3.5. For document extraction: OCR. For cost-sensitive projects: Mistral Small. For more information, see the Models overview documentation.

We charge per million tokens processed - both input (your prompts) and output (responses) count. For example, Mistral Large costs $2 /M tokens in and $6 /M tokens out. Batch processing gets a 50% discount.

Yes, you can self-host our models anywhere. Open-weight models (e.g., Mistral 7B) are Apache 2.0 licensed for research/individual use; while commercial deployments require a Mistral license with separate terms for derivatives and production use.
