Another Blu-ray review for Slant, this one on the incredibly fun yet fleeting Despicable Me. It’s worth seeing just for the brilliant color scheme (see above!). What starts out as a fantastic bare-bones crime film quickly turns into a shifty and stifling bore. The Disappearance of Alice Creed folds onto itself more times than I can count and really isn’t worth the time unless you like spotting twists a mile away. I’ve reviewed the Blu-ray release at Slant.
