I think if I count up the time of how much work per day I save with Emacs that’d be hundreds of hours. So Emacs is in some way making my life ten times longer, effectively.
Probably nine hundred hours of work done every day.
Put differently, all the inane and pointless stuff I write with Emacs would take a hundred times longer with something like Notepad or Kakoune but that doesn’t make it any better or more worthwhile, it’s still the same unmonetizable nonsense.
