They do much much much more harm than good. We could have an open standard or personally I don’t “need” anything because I don’t need my main inbox in my pocket most of the time but I get that some people do but it should be an open standard like PGP SMTP, OMEMO XMPP, or even ircs or Matrix. Or a mostly-closed-but-slightly-ajar protocol like RCS or Signal. But who am I kidding. It’s an anti-FOSS phone, fundamentally.
