  • Call for Papers! Focus Area: Equality/Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

The journal would be greatly enhanced by including papers that explore work that focus on the topics of disability, accessibility, cultural diversity and LGBTQ+ issues. The AJDT welcomes submissions if you are currently researching and/or working with populations connected to these focus areas and have an interest in publishing your work. Submitting your work provides an opportunity to contribute to discussions about diversity, equality/equity & inclusion, and contribute an additional perspective to these conversations.

  • AJDT is Welcoming New Peer Reviewers!

Peer review is the backbone of the AJDT, is a method to contribute to the profession, and gives reviewers first access to research and practice in DMT. Peer reviewing allows you to witness firsthand the wealth of research in our profession. It is our aim to have a pool of peer reviewers with wide ranging expertise and experiences, thus reviewers can be based in the United States or internationally.

We welcome all areas of dance/movement therapy expertise, and are currently specifically encouraging interest from dance/movement therapists working with children, elder populations, and equality/equity, diversity, and inclusion issues.
