Venues

Engine Shed

Lincoln’s biggest and best event venue! Hosting gigs, club nights, comedy shows, themed parties and more. It’s the home of Quack!, our legendary weekly student night.

The Platform

The platform is a sister venue to The Engine Shed. A place buzzing with live music, laugh-out-loud comedy, and events made just for students!

Towers

Your go-to campus bar. Great food, student-friendly drinks deals, pub quizzes, live sport, and the ideal place to catch up with mates between lectures.

The Swan

A cosy, relaxed pub with a chilled vibe. Come for the board games, stay for the great pints and open mic nights. Perfect for downtime or deep chats.

All our venues are run by the SU for students, so every pound spent goes straight back into improving your university experience.

Quack!

Every Wednesday, The Engine Shed transforms into the wildest student party in Lincoln. Expect inflatables, confetti, singalong anthems and fancy-dress themes. Oh, and the most important thing? The FREE duck throws! If you know, you know. If you don’t, you soon will.

Advice

University can be amazing, but it can also come with challenges. That’s where our Advice Centre comes in.

We offer free, confidential and independent advice on:

  • Academic issues (including appeals, misconduct and complaints)
  • Housing and tenancy advice
  • Money worries and budgeting

No matter how big or small the issue, you’re never alone. The Advice Centre is here to help you make informed decisions and get the support you need… all in a safe, judgement-free space.

Communities

At Lincoln SU, we’re all about helping you find your people. Whether you’re passionate about sports, love a good debate, want to champion change, or simply want to try something new – there’s a student community for you.

  • Join a Sports Team – From football to fencing, you’ll find a team that fits
  • Get Involved in Societies – Over 100 societies to choose from: cultural, political, academic, creative and more
  • Become a Rep or Officer – Represent students on your course or across the whole uni

It’s easy to join, and even easier to belong. This is your community… make it what you want it to be.

Representation

Your experience is our priority. And to make sure your voice is heard, you elect student representatives to listen to your feedback and push for change on campus.

Who represents you?

  • Student Leaders: There are three Student Leaders in place to represent you. They cover three different areas: Student Communities, Student Support and Development, and Student Representation.
  • Student Experience Officers: Student Experience Officers work alongside Student Leaders in part-time positions, speaking to students and collecting their feedback. There is an SEO for every school.
  • Programme Reps: Programme Reps represent the views of students on their course, working with staff in their school to address feedback on all areas of teaching and learning.

Everything we do, from events to the support, to the spaces you hang out in is shaped by students, for students. Refreshers Week is your chance to jump back in, reconnect, and make the most of the rest of the academic year.
