Ever had an idea to improve your uni experience, but didn’t know who to tell? Meet SUggestions, the platform where you can shape campus life at Lincoln!

SUggestions is Lincoln SU’s online ideas hub. It lets students submit suggestions for improvements outside of their courses or initiatives that could benefit all students.

Other students can vote on those ideas, and if an idea gets enough support (50 votes), the SU Leader team might back it.

Before it goes live, every idea is reviewed by the Union Chair and Chair of the Board of Trustees.

This isn’t just talk, some SUggestions have already become real improvements such as ensuring vending machines are convenient for all students across campus, and increasing therapy dog sessions to support de-stressing during exams.

It gives you direct influence, helps shape campus life, and fosters change from the ground up

Here’s how to submit one:

  1. Go to lincolnsu.com/suggestions

  2. Log in (you’ll need to be a student)

  3. Write your idea, include a clear title, description, and why it matters.

  4. Press ‘submit’.

  5. Other students can vote it up or down.

  6. SU Leaders review it. If approved, it may move forward.

Some quick tips:

  • Be specific, the more detail, the better chance it can be actioned.

  • Keep it realistic (within SU’s scope).

  • Show how many will benefit, it makes your idea stronger.

  • Encourage friends to vote for yours!

So, got a suggestion? Don’t keep it to yourself. Head to lincolnsu.com/suggestions, submit your SUggestion, and watch the change happen!

And if you see an idea you like, vote it up! Let’s make the student experience better together
