I do the same. It’s the main way I watch tv. Not just to support the content creators, but also as a way to aggregate all my “mainstream” interests in one place. From one app on my TV I can catch up on sports highlights, late night comedy clips, and my favorite music festivals, back to back ad free. And that was just last night

This happened to a Muslim dentist here in Miami. He lost his job as a result. He later clarified he did it to deescalate the situation and promote peace. But the damage has already been done and he is now an antisemite to many.

There were several models from sources like 538 that took the electoral map into account and still got it wrong. People didn’t admit their cult membership back then, today they are afraid to hide it.

For real tho this is how my immigrant parents think/cope with life and honestly I think it keeps them going pretty effectively

I love how they don’t realize these unaborted kids are likely going to be unwanted, unloved, impoverished, lack education…and instead of turning into “able bodies workers” they will turn into the criminals Republicans think lurk around every corner ready to shoot them

That’s a cool idea! But then what happens when I get to the “pump” right after someone else has used it

YouTube is way more than content creators. Just last night I watched an hour long episode of PBS news hour, an hour long EDM concert that was live in Europe a few days ago and then fell asleep to a bunch of clips from late night comedy shows. These aren’t struggling content creators, these are all from huge content providers that I’d have to track down separately if they weren’t on YouTube. Anything on Netflix I just pirate because tv shows and movies are easy to get.
