upandatomto Ask Lemmy•Videogames you always wanted to play but they did disappointed you?2·1 month agoI am with you. I really want to like the game, but it just is not fun. I gave it 15 hrs.
Add to your list just how tedious all the bosses and mini bosses are. All of them act with maximum efficiency on every turn. Causes so many battles with them to drag on.
upandatomto Showerthoughts•People who reject challenging ideas as stupid without engagement are like intellectual nepobabies3·1 month agoI like your theory.
I was a pretty big believer in inception approach. If they think it is their idea they will be on board.
Now I think people only want to learn/believe things they see from their own personal bubble of “trusted source(s)”. Anything else can’t be correct or I’d have heard about it already.

We just disagree. Your point seems to be all or nothing with the blame. I believe there is never 0 personal liability unless under duress.
I am well read, and I gather you are too. No point going further with you here.
Enjoy

Great 6 paragraph essay countering made up points I wasn’t making.
Choosing Amazon for a dr recommended medicine is definitely the same as choosing it for your coffee flavoring.
Nevermind the part where I said I also use Amazon.
My point is unless you are under duress, you are responsible for your actions.

Sorry that you lack logical thinking. Enjoy your coffee.

But how are people so basic.
You hate Amazon, but just have to have your caramel syrup? Doesn’t really sound like hate.
Sounds more like you do not want to have to make sacrifices to the things you like.
Wonder why bad things continue to happen.
I use Amazon too. Not trying to be too judgy, but come on. Accept some personal responsibility for your actions.
I am aware of Tenncent’s holdings beyond just the games you list.
Just bc you do not see the effects does not mean nothing burger.
I’d suggest you look into Microsoft’s EEE strategy. Or consider Activiosn’s effect on Blizzard.
And these are just gaming examples.
Horrible kid take.
Anyone “in everything” is never a nothingburger.
I disagree with you too.
They never offer you the choice. The turn it on by default, and do not even inform you of how or where to turn it off.
Giving users a choice would mean an option during install or first run.
- How should Firefox incorporate AI on this profile? A) running when FF starts B) turn on AI at user request at time of request C) disable all AI on this profile
That to me looks like choice. I do use Firefox as my main.

The Firefox thing is not specific to opening a PDF. I get the same behavior you describe just when I open Firefox. It’s probably just first launch after a new boot for me but I’m not sure.

How is the VR Mod listed? Does it use other trademarks/copyrights to advertise or sell this product?
Cyberpunk 2077 VR Mod
Or is it listed generically as VR Framework Mod for games.

Kiosk could work, but I could see that thing being perpetually broken after a few months of (mis)use.
At first, I was only thinking about the ubiquity of post offices and that they already reach rural areas. But the government aspect does add a bit more too. Feels like it’s official to use government currency in a government building instead of a local convenience store.
Would post office work better for US?
You are thinking of the Church of Satan.
I’m sure there are many types of satanists.
Net worth can, and is, used as collateral for taking out large loans with little to no interest. So I would say net worth is a pretty good equivalent of cash under the mattress. It just takes one step to access that cash.
