letter_dOPto Cross stitch and embroidery@sh.itjust.works•Finished! Cloud and Tifa at the bar.8·7 months agoIt’s for my daughter. We’ve been playing the remake games together and so I made it to commemorate the time together. That’s a fun idea though.

It is a nice quiet moment.
Thanks! There are 20 colors. No real regrets. I probably should have waited on doing a couple of the stitches as I put them there before there was really anything to help tie them down. Super glad there’s no back stitching. I really don’t like back stitching.
I could swear I bought it on Amazon, but here’s an etsy link:

I’ll have to keep that in mind. I am using 310. I don’t notice it too much looking directly at it. I almost can’t fathom using 4 strands. Especially as much as the pattern calls for. 😅
Thanks! I love that little sanity devouring needle minder
Thank you!
It’s from a pattern I bought on Etsy. This one:

letter_dOPto Cross stitch and embroidery@sh.itjust.works•(WIP) still alive, still stitching2·1 year agoYeah the crossing happens on the front so depending on how you’re stitching it’ll look different on the back. If you’re doing a large block of color you tend to do all the slashes in a line one direction and then cross back over on the way back. That leads to the rows of straight up and down lines. If you’re crossing individual x’s you’ll get more of a corner looking shape

letter_dOPto Cross stitch and embroidery@sh.itjust.works•(WIP) still alive, still stitching2·1 year agoMy daughter and I have been playing through the remakes, so this will be for her when it’s done. It’s been fun reliving some nostalgia combined with a new feel. And yeah, the colors definitely jump around a bit.
I get sort of obsessed with keeping the back clean when I cross stitch
