Both of these examples are “imminent danger” where she hasn’t been harmed yet, and can still be saved. Fridging would be if the hero discovers her already run over or walks in right as she’s shot or whatever.

In the US, that skew is old retired people, who typically lean religious, conservative, and capitalist. The 90% of people who hang up when cold called are not represented well.

I have no evidence though
There was a channel called Let’s Play, of rooster teeth/achievement hunter origin. Markiplier didn’t have a channel until 2012. The Let’s play channel first uploaded in Dec 2011.

Because children don’t want to do labor they don’t value, mental or physical. But we make them do it anyway, because a critically thinking, baseline educated population is important.

There are usually hiccups with Linux, but they’ve been small ones so far. Nothing worse than what happens on windows. And yeah it’s got a rollback system by default.

domdanial@reddthat.comto Linux Gaming•Linux gamers: Do you ever occasionally shut down your PC?English2·1 month agoI’ll be the odd one out, as a relatively new Linux gamer. I almost never shut it down unless I want OS updates. Weeks without an intentional shutdown usually.
I treat it more like a phone than I do a TV or radio like I saw other people mentioning. Always on, as I left it, running whatever it was running. Screen turns off after 30 minutes of course.
I don’t pay for power, so that’s not really a concern for me, and I use it frequently enough when home that most of my time involves the desktop in some way.

I did burn up several sides to the inserts I used, so that’s like $60 in tools, took about an hour of messing around with it. I bet a shop with more experience with hard metal and big stuff would charge you $100-200 to face it, depends on shop rate and stuff.

Whether or not this is a sincere turn-around, it’s too late. I think the best he can hope for is a quiet life of obscurity and small time good acts if he wants to fix his karma or whatever.
Why should we gamble on a former mercenary when there are options for leadership that didn’t have a “problematic past” ?
