The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins (NBC/Peacock) has been really good so far - if you liked Tracy Morgan’s work on 30 Rock, this seems like the spiritual successor to that. As other have said, Paradise season 2 (Hulu) has been fantastic. DTF St Louis (HBO) has been really good too.

Things can look stabilized for the moment and the results can certainly back that up, but I have no faith that they’re not going to decline further and numbers can’t tell you that they won’t.

Weird how every time Trump says that he’s in secret talks with someone, the other party denies it. It’s like everyone is lying all the time, or just one person is lying all the time. It’s sad when I believe other countries that we’re at war with over the president.

Yeah this is bullshit. Trump is speedrunning undoing decades of progress and the checks and balances that are supposed to prevent this kind of thing have failed. Those checks and balances are damn sure gonna be working fine if a progressive is ever able to run the country and those assholes in congress will throw the brakes on anything that’s trying to be reverted. Electing another neoliberal will stifle reverting these changes on its own. We’ll need multiple administrations of progressive president and congress along with a multiple seat change or expansion of the Supreme Court to undo this, and I don’t see that happening.

The trust is not going to come back unless we implement rules so this doesn’t happen again and even then it’ll be decades, assuming china doesn’t replace us on the global scale by the time trump leaves office.

Haha, I’ve experienced something similar to that. I ordered queso at a taco place and there was a sliced pepper floating on top. My wife doesn’t like spicy food, so I will grab that stuff immediately. It was a little hot, definitely felt a slight burn. A few minutes later, the waitress came out and was looking at the queso, then the tray, then the plates and the floor. She was slightly panicked and said, “did this come out with a pepper on it?!” And then explained that she tells all her guests not to eat the pepper because it’s too spicy and they get a lot of complaints. Definitely way too dramatic for the heat level of that thing.
