Swudento Technology•PNG has been updated for the first time in 22 years — new spec supports HDR and animationEnglish2·9 months agoThat’d be the browser’s (or whatever app you’re using) fault, not the format. I guess you could choose to hate it for poor support.
Price wise also?
I feel like the title says it all. The Legend of Zelda. It’s like multiple retellings of the same story, passed down through generations, obscured by time.
Price sensitive consumers probably. Looking at EV prices here, you struggle to find better bang for your buck than the cheaper Teslas.
Swudento pics•Brian Carr, chairman of the FCC, replaced the american flag with Trump’s head1·11 months agoNot American so correct me if I’m wrong here, but isn’t the FCC supposed to be independent? Aren’t there any safety mechanisms in place that should kick in when its head so blatantly breaks with this principle?
Swudento Technology•Bing Search and Bing Custom Search APIs will be retired on 11th August 2025.English55·11 months agoIf you use DuckDuckGo, you’re essentially using Bing.
Isn’t this meme actually doing POV correctly though?
The fact that it says “Paid for by the Government of Canada” will allow them to shrug it off as propaganda and go “Why would Canada care so much if this was true!?”. I like the idea, but I fear it might have an even more polarizing effect…
Swudento Technology•YouTube says goodbye to decade-old video player UI, but users hate the new designEnglish24·1 year agoSpeaking as a software dev, that’s probably not the case. They probably started completely from scratch and so the inclusion of features depends on reimplementing them on the new platform. It could be as simple as not being ready yet or maybe stats show them that so few people use the feature that they don’t find it worth reimplementing it.
Swudento World News•Putin to conscript 160,000 more Russians for war with UkraineEnglish14·1 year agoI can hear this image.
Conscript reporting.
Swudento World News•Tesla’s Europe sales drop nearly 45% amid row over Musk’s Trump linksEnglish71·1 year agoThe real litmus test will be Q2 and maybe Q3 numbers. My country (Norway) probably has one of the highest number of Teslas per capita in the world, and I feel like a lot of people here are just sitting around waiting for the refreshed Model Y to be fully released.
These people have no idea what constitutes a good user interface. Just because they’ve taught themselves how to use the one from 1998, does not mean that grandma of 78 would find it as intuitive. Applications like this have to accommodate so many different types of people and somehow the neckbeards seem to forget that. Can’t imagine why.

Swudento Programming@programming.dev•Open Source 'Eclipse Theia IDE' Exits Beta to Challenge Visual Studio Code -- Visual Studio Magazine6·2 years agoPretty sure it’s to enable extensions written in JS. These apps build their success on a rich ecosystem of plugins. And, like it or not, JS plays a big part in that.
Swudento Mildly Infuriating•I ordered my daughter a pizza, something I don't usually do. I got Domino's smallest size with two toppings. I got her cheese sticks and two sauces and tipped the driver 20%. $31.07.English141·2 years agoOh yeah for sure, the situation in the US is something I dread. The fact that the cost of living in the US is near the equal to ours is mind-blowing to me when I read about their average wage level.

I’ve always looked at US prices and envied them, but now I’m just like “Whey! That’s a normal price!”. Based on what I’m reading I’m guessing wages aren’t keeping up in the same manner though…
A quick Google search seems to indicate that Pfizer’s TicoVac is indeed available in the US. I would wager this is the same one that they’re using in Austria. At least it’s this one they offer in my home country (also European).
I agree this seems to be more a case of Europe having cracked the code on how to manipulate Trump. That being said, I feel like they’re walking a very fine line between dangling the keys to the kingdom in front of the baby, and handing them over.
