I’m in the minority but I agree with anon. As a kid I was always looking towards the future when it came to gaming. As soon as 3D gaming hit the mainstream, I pretty much abandoned 2D games for the next 20 years. I’m a graphics whore, and as such, I’m always looking forward to the latest and greatest AAA games to see how much they can push the limits of what’s visually possible.

If the AAA industry magically collapses, I will probably quit gaming.

Edit: See what I mean? It’s a very unpopular opinion to express, but it’s my opinion.

  • When the “woke” mania swept the country in 2020, I took a step back and reevaluated where I stood and why I stood there. To my surprise, I found that I agreed with conservatives and libertarians on a number of issues. I opposed childhood gender transitions, unlawful and divisive DEI mandates, and the excesses of Critical Race Theory.

Didn’t make it very far into the article; I had to stop reading right there. I can’t handle this much ignorance and bigotry. What a fucking clown. 🤡

I feel you. I never liked the “ugly cartoon” aestic. Even if I enjoy the characters/plotlines, it distracts me so much and hurts my enjoyment of the media somewhat. Some TV examples include: Ren and Stimpy, the closeups in SpongeBob, Anything by Klasky Csupo (Rugrats, Wild Thornberrys, and especially Aaahh!!! Real Monsters), and everyone’s pupils in Rick and Morty.

Disagree strongly. Gourmet meals are included and nothing beats waking up to a different view on your balcony every day. Plus there’s so much to do on the ship, you hardly have to even get off at the ports (but of course you still should).

Best vacation ever. If I lived near the east coast, I’d go on a cruise every year. They’re a lot less expensive than you think. The flight is the most expensive part.
