  • I would like it if the front end allowed quickly hiding posts.

Right now it’s two clicks deep, and then the whole page refreshes.

I have always felt that HIDE is a very essential part of a proper system like this. It’s the most neutral way you can interact with something, you don’t want to give or detract from votes, you don’t even want to look at it. And in today’s content fire hose, we need this!

  • This doesn’t even sound like a real business. This sounds like one of those extemporaneous pitches that gets pulled out of the ass after martini 3, delivered by the sales doofus that doesn’t know how to send an email.

The red flag that caught my eye was all the cheerleading and then snuck at the bottom was (paraphrased) ‘well, people can play as much as they want but, ya know, if it’s like 10 games a month we might have to look at stuff’.

So, what? It’s subscription service but the games vanish (oh you can buy them individually) and and if you use the service for its advertised purpose, there’s going to be problems - only $7.99 ?

I should have said martini 8

It definitely sucked at the time, but it also taught me some key lessons.

Like don’t assume a game is good because it comes in a nice box. Don’t assume a licensed IP means good gameplay. Read reviews, don’t just make a snap purchase.

It was a huge loss for me at the time but I feel like these lessons actually saved me quite a bit of money/frustration over the years.

Really who can say. But wheat, barley and rye all provoke the psoriasis to bloom so it makes the most sense to assume it’s the gluten. It could be something else that is common to all 3, but that seems to be a stretch when the most obvious explanation makes the most sense.

No I don’t get celiac symptoms - since I don’t have celiac disease. Curiously wheat makes the psoriasis bloom, barley does as well but moreso gives me acid reflux immediately after ingestion.

As much as I have spent way too much of my life becoming educated in this area, I’m not actually sure everybody has a definable trigger. After all, it is an autoimmune disorder. I guess I just found out that I’m one of the lucky ones that has figured out what provokes mine.

For anybody that has suffered, also be aware that a universal trigger for psoriasis sufferers is anything with blue/purple dye. They are safe for external use, but psoriasis is broken skin which makes it introduce directly into the bloodstream, and the number one side effect of those dyes is eczema, psoriasis, and dry skin.

E: I have come to believe without evidence to back it up that dyes are actually a major contributor to the general belief that lip balms are “addictive”.

You seem to be conflating 2 different things.

There’s the mechanism which is excess calorie intake v expenditure, and then there’s the reasons for the excess calorie intake. It’s dangerous to blend these because doing so mostly platforms excuses and denial of personal responsibility among obesity sufferers.
