Somehow my German always gets better after a couple of beers.
This has been on my wishlist for quite some time now. How are the P90s?
Yeah, I need to find something for the headstock. I’ll work on the pickguard as well. I bought a mint green one, but it was way to green. I saw a cool Hendrix parchment one, but the angle of the bridge pickup is reversed, and that won’t fit in the body cavity. I’ll probably end up relicing this one.
It plays like a dream, low action, near perfect fretwork. I spent more time on the setup than I’d like to admit, but it was worth it.
Maybe for a future build, but for now I’m happy with how it turned out. I still have half a bottle of stain, so who knows.
Discogs is your friend. Finding it in the wild is almost impossible.
HerrHelmusto Bandcamp@piefed.social•Bandcamp prohibits music made ‘wholly or in substantial part’ by AI3·3 months agoI think there’s a difference between asking for chord progressions or tips and tricks to get a certain sounds and telling a LLM to generate a song.
With the former there’s usually zero originality, but I see how it can be useful as a starting point. People who do the latter can go f*ck off, especially if they try to make money off of it.
HerrHelmusto guitars•My Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface died after 5 years of use. Is this still best bang for buck or should I replace with something different?English2·3 months agoI’ve been using the Sonicake audio interface for a year or so. No complaints so far, especially for the money, but I think the Focusrite has some more features.
HerrHelmusto Selfhosted•Youlag (v4.1.0): Modernize FreshRSS for viewing YouTube and articlesEnglish1·3 months agoI’ve been using FreshRSS for years, because of it’s flexibility and customization options. I switched to Nextcloud News for a while, since I’m already running Nextcloud anyhow and it’s convenient, but it was far too buggy and missed some quality of life features FreshRSS has.
Also, I use Capy Reader on Android and that app is just perfect, with the same flexibility, plus it lets you read articles in the app, without opening the web page.
HerrHelmusto Selfhosted•Youlag (v4.1.0): Modernize FreshRSS for viewing YouTube and articlesEnglish1·3 months agoI am on the latest version, and my settings appear to be correct. I also tried disabling all other plugins, but to no avail. Maybe I’ll dive into it this weekend, if I feel like it.
Thanks for responding anyhow.
HerrHelmusto Selfhosted•Youlag (v4.1.0): Modernize FreshRSS for viewing YouTube and articlesEnglish10·3 months agoI like the idea of having YouTube in my FreshRSS instance, but I can’t get the setting correct. I selected that I only want the layout in my YouTube category, but it’s still everywhere. Also, when I open a YouTube item, it looks the same as any other article. I do have a bunch of other layout related extensions enabled, so it might be because of that.
I like it, but I’ll need to play with it a bit more and try to get it to work.
HerrHelmusto Jellyfin: The Free Software Media System@lemmy.ml•Where does JF get its placeholder image when it can't find a banner for a band?English2·4 months agoI noticed that when you’re on a page of a band with a background picture, it takes the background from that band when you open the play queue. Could that be what happened?
I used to play Zorro on the C64 as a kid, and this game reminds me of it. I love the great stuff Psytronik releases. I haven’t tried Sherwood yet, but I’ll probably give the demo a go on my TheC64 during the holidays and buy it if it’s as much fun as it looks.

Having worked in an international environment for over a decade makes me 99% sure that OP speaks Portuguese.

An American newcomer to a prestigious German ballet academy comes to realize that the school is a front for something sinister amid a series of grisly murders.English6·5 months agoOne of the few great “remakes”, in the sense that it doesn’t try to copy the original, bit reimagines the story.
Indeed, I used to buy Boss pedals, but there are so many cheaper options these days with exactly the same circuit, and the quality is generally quite good these days.
The .73 nylon Dunlops are perfect for me. Great for riffing and when you bend them a bit between your fingers, they are more stiff for precision work. I played with 1mm tortex picks for years, but I really dislike them these days.
