I was watching a Canadian political talk show and they brought some clips from early in his first term, him threatening fire and fury to North Korea which is not far off from the language he threatened Iran with.
So it’s definitely the same guy pulling the same shtick, maybe with more advanced dementia, but crucially Trump has systematically (with the support from MTG and other MAGA faithful) removed anyone competent enough to prevent him from following through on his impulses. Those impulses that have always been there, and that Democrats and never-Trumper Republicans have warned about.

She might be so deluded as to think she’s never been wrong before, or to have never actually changed her mind on anything. If that is the case, then her mind actually changing might appear as if the thing it’s changing about is what changed, even if nothing there has changed at all.
