A grocery store near me just renovated, including a large structure in the parking lot with high powered lighting.

Not a single EV charger was installed.

It sees like a complete lack of forethought to not include even a low powered L2 charger at a grocery store. People would definitely use it and spend their time inside the store.

It鈥檚 a large flag/monument. They also added covered cart corrals which could have been solar panels though.

For a grocery store? How much time do you spend shopping??

Besides, it wouldn鈥檛 make sense at all in a public garage. Even if you were SEVERELY limited on watts you could deliver, you鈥檙e still better off delivering them at higher voltage to reduce loss.

Come to think of it, I鈥檝e never once seen a public level 1 charger. But I bet there are some exposed outlets you could use, if you happen to live nearby and don鈥檛 mind parking there for a day or two.
