In a series of Situation Room meetings, President Trump weighed his instincts against the deep concerns of his vice president and a pessimistic intelligence assessment. Here’s the inside story of how he made the fateful decision.

    tl;dr

Israel told him it was a good idea and would be super easy. Trump decided to do it, the yes-men he’s surrounded himself didn’t object.

And here we are today, possibly about to commit war crimes against a civilian population as part of a war that we have yet to figure out a coherent reason for starting in the first place.

    He kinda just did it.

There was no provocation or strategic benefit and starting a war with Iran would obviously impact the global markets and the cost of oil.

No upsides, plenty of downsides, and the idiot just said “fuck it, let’s do a peace with my department of war!”

It’s like he’s actively trying to speed run the collapse of the economy. In his first term, he was able to ride the trajectory Obama set, despite his best efforts, until Covid happened. This time, he’s seeing if he can start a recession before the midterms.

The war-planning group had been kept so tight that the two key officials who would need to manage the largest supply disruption in the history of the global oil market, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Energy Secretary Chris Wright, were excluded, as was Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence.

Not including the DNI in war planning is insane. And not a single one of the sycophant advisors offered any real opinion.

Somehow I keep being surprised at the incompetence.

Ooo, I know this one! The man who’s most featured in the Epstein Files, barged into multiple teenage dressing rooms, and bragged about “grabbing women by the pussy” just… did the attack. He ignored the experts, did what he wanted, and like always, no one stopped him or held him accountable…
