China spent $1.03 trillion on research whereas the U.S. spent $1.01 trillion when adjusted for purchasing power, according to the 31 March edition of science and technology indicators compiled by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

    Good for China, let鈥檚 hope they cure the common cold and cancer and not develop more weapons.

      I鈥檓 starting to think that weapons are the only answer to the cancer of the world these days. At least it鈥檚 the only thing Trump will understand. Though, I hope that China will find a way to cure the cancer without declaring war on them.

      Both competing hard on who will develop the best mass survelince and censorship systems. I hope the people working to actually better the world get more funding soon

        Making things better takes time and investment. Incremental changes in the right direction. I hope as well that people will see the long term benefits of energy independence with renewables. There is definitely a much better world within our grasp.
