The mayor of Hammond, Indiana, says the rail company had promised to help pay for a pedestrian bridge after ProPublica and InvestigateTV documented dozens of children crawling through trains to get to school. The company denies making this pledge.

    Won鈥檛 even partly finance one bridge. They鈥檙e just that evil. Maybe they did a study on how many places along their lines people have to cross dangerously and decided it would set an expensive precedent.

      Drag enough trash and heavy crap onto the tracks every night until the cost of removing it every morning exceeds the cost of the bridge. Or ask China to build one like that town in west virginia did in the 70s with the USSR
