Goeie dag. I will disclose that I’m not from South Africa nor have I ever been to South Africa but I love your music so much. I became hooked on artists like Seether, 16 Stitch, Cutting Jade, Zen Arcade, Tweak, Springbok Nude Girls, Battery 9, Fly Paper Jet, Brasse Vannie Kaap, and Jo Day among others. Why does your country have so many great artists that no one abroad has heard of? I found out about these artists from old SA music and news sites. Are there any other artists I should check out? Did you listen to these artists? I’d be very curious to know. Thank you!

Oh yes, Fokofpolisiekar has some good ones too, but mostly in Afrikaans.

Don’t listen to Kurt Darren, your ears will get cancer. It is the only music known to man that will kill even Chuck Norris, and look what happened.

I’ll check them out. I like Afrikaans music. It’s a very beautiful language. I already have listened to Kurt Darren. I have one of his songs on a compilation CD I think. It didn’t leave much of an impression on me either way.

Depending on how heavy you like your music, XavlegbmaofffassssitimiwoamndutroabcwapwaeiippohfffX (just call them Xavleg) are kinda catchy.

I checked it out. It’s some of the best deathgrind I have ever heard. It’s immediately going into the playlist.

    Saartjie, Chromium, Seether

Pretty much the only ones I listen to regularly.

Die fokken Antwoord has a few gems,

Van Coke has some good ones, probably some more I can’t think of right now.

Stream LM radio, they play quite a bit of english south african artists.

I had a moment like that when my friend told me Die Antwoord was in Chappie. I thought maybe Ninja was the robot but no Yolandi and Ninja are just themselves in it lol.
