    Only English? I tried half a dozen authors that don’t write in English and everything is translated.

      Standard Ebooks is a volunteer project that makes really nice versions of public domain stuff (that’s why a lot of those are marked “not P.D. yet”), and I think they work mainly in English, yeah. If you see something on that list that’s public domain, and you want to read it in the original language, just hit up Project Gutenberg; it’s probably there.

        I’ve used project Gutenberg too and it’s not great how it handles languages. Anna’s archive though, shows you filters by language and file format. I tend to prefer that for public domain, the wealth of books and non English translations is amazing. And I always go there for not public domain, it’s very rare to be able to purchase an ebook that wasn’t edited in the last couple years.
