I want to keep using Google Wallet, so I won鈥檛 install Graphene, but I鈥檓 curious what some best practices are (privacy and otherwise) for an unused stock android (Pixel 9)?

The plan so far is install Aurora to get F-Droid and install what apps I can from there before checking elsewhere.

Also wondering if Google accounts be used on an app-by-app basis or do I need to sign in to the entire phone?

The only thing that doesn鈥檛 work in Google wallet under grapheneos is the payment cards. Other types of cards and tickets/passes work fine.

But there鈥檚 not really much you can do, because to get rid of Google play services you鈥檇 have to use AOSP or something, right? And then payment cards probably wouldn鈥檛 work.

I don鈥檛 think you can do per-app sign in, either; you鈥檇 be adding the account system-wide, but you can switch accounts in each app.

Most account log-ins are at a system level. Google, email, etc.

However, you can set up multiple users on most devices. So if you want to only use Google login for certain apps, set those apps up under a different account on the phone.

Check in settings -> system -> multiple users.

I keep all of my sensitive apps under a separate login on my phone, but I鈥檓 using graphene.
