Bought two Teamgroup 2TB device with SLC “crash”. The cache was so tiny it wore out with almost no usage from repeated writes.

You should read the SMART values and also check out what counterfeits are currently on the market where even the SMART values are faked. I would not buy hard drives from Amazon. Amazon is the marketplace for counterfeit hardware or old hardware that has been manipulated and sold as new products.
