Dolphin Emulator鈥檚 recent pre-emptive removal from Steam got everyone a bit worried about its future. The speculation was that they were shipping some proprietary Wii keys which they technically shouldn鈥檛 be. Was this confirmed as the reason? Are they going to remove them? Is the future of the project still safe?

This is a good question, I鈥檓 not actually sure to be honest with you.
So far I鈥檝e heard nothing about the main project receiving any sort of threats, and even the Steam page wasn鈥檛 officially DMCAd or the like. It was more of a threat saying they WOULD officially DMCA if the project wasn鈥檛 taken down.
It鈥檚 very interesting that it was played like this rather than just officially issuing a DMCA takedown request. Almost like they weren鈥檛 100% convinced the official DMCA would actually hold up?
