There used to be a red and blue gradient background here. Now it’s gone. I reset the theme, but it still shows white text on white background. Not that big of a deal as there’s nothing there I need to read, but still mildly annoying. Also it means the switch user option isn’t visible now.

Also is this how the surface colour setting is meant to work? I wanted the background colour in light mode to be an off-white so it’s easier on the eyes, but there doesn’t seem to be a way?
