that statement would be kind of nonsensical โ humans are inseparably part of nature. Saying โhumans suck but nature is greatโ is (at worst) an ecofascist idea or (at best) internalizing the lie that โhumans are evil by natureโ when itโs really just living under various hierarchies that emphasizes the worst parts of us.
There are lots of bird species that lay their eggs in the nests of other birds, meaning they donโt have to raise their own offspring. Often the nest-invading species hatches earlier and grows faster to outcompete the chicks of the nest owners for food. This often means those chicks eventually starve to death.
Birds really out here getting cucked, huh?
Cuckoo birds are the origin of that term!
