Well they lost, but I’m actually really happy with how they played. I remember coming home from the loss to the Pens in 2017 angry at how poorly they played, but I don’t feel that way tonight.
Carolina is a very good team. They’re fast, defensively solid, and excellent on penalty kills.
Fun season, and Cats v Canes will be a fun series to watch with no emotional investment.
Yeah it’ll be interesting to see what team wins that. Honestly I’m not sure - it could go either way.
But I also thought the Canes should have gone to the finals instead of the Panthers in 2023, so what do I know. I think the Canes had some injuries that factored in that year.
And let’s not forget that this season exceeded all expectations by quite a bit.
