Whether it鈥檚 grotesque creatures, intimidating locations, or witnessing the influence of a greater force, Bloodborne aces the Lovecraftian formula.

This game is still one of my all time favorites. I was annoyed by a spoiler in the official Dark Souls 2 trailers and decided not to watch trailers of games I wanted to play therefore I went into Bloodborne completely blind. And I鈥檓 glad I did because what an experience it was!

I loved the scenery, loved the setting, and for the beginning of it I was thinking, this is cool, fast paced Dark Souls werewolf game, I鈥檓 way into it! And then halfway through it made a turn into eldritch horror and that moment when I realized that will always live on as one of my top gaming experiences.

I鈥檇 read a bunch of Lovecraft鈥檚 stories and I really loved them but I wasn鈥檛 really into the expanded mythos beyond that and so this was the first video game I had played with this kind of stuff. I loved every minute of it, even the Chalice dungeons which I think I鈥檓 in the minority there.

I liked the chalice dungeons, too. Especially seeing the ones people shared glyphs to online. That鈥檚 one thing I鈥檒l miss when I jump into the shadps4 emulator.
