Don鈥檛 know how many folks have heard about Libby, but I鈥檝e used it for a couple years now.
Libby let鈥檚 you browse your local library鈥檚 digital catalogue, including all of their audio books. Books can be borrowed for up to 3 weeks, with the option to extend it a sling as there鈥檚 no one waiting for it. Works on Apple, Android, and in your browser. Best of all, it鈥檚 all free! I dumped Audible for it and haven鈥檛 looked back.
Another vote for Libby.
I am lucky to have the local library have a huge catalogue available via Libby.
Check out yours, you may be quite surprised.
I鈥檝e been using Libby extensively lately, mostly catching up on graphic novels that I鈥檝e been meaning to read. My city library is well-integrated with it and carries a great selection!
I feel like I鈥檝e heard of other free online libraries that can be connected to through Libby (or at least through the old app, Overdrive). If I find some I鈥檒l add them here later.
Yeah, I was looking on Google and found a years old reddit post saying you can apply as a non-local member to some libraries, but one of the ones I had time to try worked.
