I鈥檝e seen what look like stopping markers painted on platform edges, but at the two stations I frequently use (Mitchell Park and Tonsley) it often seems like they just stop at a random point along the platform. It鈥檚 especially noticeable at Tonsley where people often gather where they expect the rearmost carriage to be, then chase the train up the platform as it sails past.

From what I鈥檝e seen, stopping at those markers lines up the wheelchair ramp (at least on the electric trains) with the wheelchair mark on the platform. I don鈥檛 think they care too much unless there鈥檚 someone waiting on the mark specifically.
