Things I love about beehaw
- The admins really care about creating good community. And when they make decisions they back it up with documentation on how they came to that decision.
- Things you post here get real engagement. It was rare for me to get people engaging with content on Reddit. But here just about everything I鈥檝e posted has upvotes and comments!
I like the name as it conjures up a cute image of a bee in a little cowboy hat. The icons are nice too, I like the consistency. More generally, I like that there鈥檚 no tolerance for trolls here, people are generally friendly and it feels like it鈥檚 easy to comment without worrying about the replies you might get. Plus it鈥檚 transparent - I like the fact the admins post updates on bugs, finances, etc.
I鈥檓 on Lemmy.world as well and it feels slightly more like the old place in comparison.
