I made this catch-all tray for a friend鈥檚 housewarming but I wasn鈥檛 happy with the natural vegtan color so I propped it up in a sunny window for three days. My needle holder from the same hide is there to show the contrast of how much the color changed and to remind everyone to wear sunscreen 馃槑

Does this process dry it out at all or cause it to stiffen?
I鈥檓 new to leatherworking and am considering trying this out with some adjustable straps for a costume piece I鈥檓 working on. This looks great and seems to speed up the natural look without dyes.
