Is Telegram really that bad and should i look more into it or is sticking to signal really the best option?

Really depends on who you鈥檙e asking. I won鈥檛 even use Signal since the service requires a phone number. So Telegram was never on the table to begin with. I use XMPP and SimpleX in case you鈥檙e interestead in reducing your metadata footprint.
